HDMI switch is a high definition multimedia interface video switch that allows you to connect several HDMI video sources such as DVD, set-top box or PC simultaneously. It also allows you to switch between these HDMI video sources on a HDMI video display such as HDTV (High Definition Television). In order to transmit encrypted digital streams that are uncompressed, the switch uses an audio/video connector. This video switcher has been made available in 2 and 4 port versions. It supports high resolution video of 1920 x 1200 and achieves sharp HDTV resolutions up to 1080p.
The switch is compatible with all HDMI equipped and HDCP enabled HDTV devices; and is controlled by the push buttons that are placed on the front of the unit. It is generally used in business centers, hotels, restaurants, conference rooms, classrooms and bars.
The 2 port HDMI video switch is not highly preferred as it has only two inputs and one output, and there is no room for future expansion; however the 4 port allows you to switch up to 4 sources and is highly recommended.
