ICP has just recently released a new version of the iDS Designer v2.47.
The new features of the software upgrade are:
1. Layout looping mode
- With V2.47, users now can easily set the duration of each layout contained in a sequence, and let the whole group of layouts cycle for the whole day, with just a few clicks. No more manual configuration needed.
2. Preview window for layout and sequence
- When users open files, other than a list of historical files, there is also a preview window of background picture as well as the various media blocks organized in a specific layout or sequence file. Making the whole operation more efficient and intuitive.
3. Multi-Player Transfer (network connection)
- If users wish to transfer contents to a group of players (same content, same resolution and same desplay device type), now they can select multiple players at once, then let the iDS Designer to conduct all the updates automatically.
- Please note V2.47 is still under P2P structure, therefore if multiple players are selected, the sequence is not transferred to next player until the transmission is done for the previous player.
4. Bootup time reduced to 1min 10 secs
5. More informative bootup screen messages.
- Disclosing schedule of current program & next program on screen during boot up. For example, if current time is 10AM, and the next available playlist is only going to be broadcasted at 2PM, then the player won't be activated for hours after bootup.
- This may be caused by incorrect schedule settings, or when users forget to change the default time setting of NDSP to local time. Without going back to software to figure out which step is wrong, users now can quickly figure out where the problem is during boot up time.
- There will be other warning message indicating if there's no CF card inserted in the NDSP unit during boot up.
6. Verifying written files
- Add one check box in the "Generate Playable Disk" window. By checking this optional box, the iDS Designer will verify and compare data written into the CF card with the original source files.
