I believe that the overall cost of an all in one solution should be much
cheaper than having to purchase the screen, player or software separately. This includes maintenance and warranty. I think one of the main disadvantages of using the all in one would be that a hardware failure of the unit will mean that the system will not be operational. But the advantage of using an all in one solution definitely outweighs the disadvantages. Anyone like to share what the advantages are?

Well, you are right, all-in-one means you have to replace the full set if any part is defective.

We have decide to build our own all-in-one screens using pro panels from Samsung and we have design the product to be able to change any part easily.

Also, regarding maintenance, it is much more easier as you can send anyone to replace the unit instead of sending an IT guy who will know how to reconnect everything together.

We have decided to go for all-in-one for certain cases when cables are not easy to hide especially for ceiling mounting, without the usage of a surrounding case.

have you also built your own software that comes with your solution or is it just hardware?

Yes, trying to get a shop owner to replace equipment can be difficult at times. So if ports and connectors are somehow colour coded then anyone who is able to match colours will be able to figure reconnect the equipment.
